Double letter paying 37.5 cents, sent from Ogdensburgh (NY State) to London dated 7 August 1843. Sent by sailing packet to London, arriving on 31st August and charged double ship letter rate of 1/6d (London Ship Letter on reverse), subsequently redirected to NB (North Britain = Scotland) with a 2d Blue paying redirection fee. This has been cancelled by a Number 5 in cross.
