1d Black (plate 2) sent by the Duke of Wellington to Cumberland Gate, dated 16 June 1840. The stamp placed on the rear as the tiny entire has no space left on the front after the address. The stamp cancelled by two strikes of a Maltese Cross and the front also with two strikes to indicate postage had been paid.
