1d Intense Black (plate 7). Fraudulant re-use. Still affixed to the original stamp shaped portion of letter from where it was cut but with a small section removed, presumably because it showed part of the cancellation. Re-affixed with sealing wax to a wrapper sent to Truro cancelled by two strikes of the red mx with a blue c.d.s at left for DE 10 1940. Endorsed in manuscript "Stamp used before" and changed 2d postage due. Ironically addressed to a Solicitor!
